Club Notices 27th March 2015

March 27, 2015

Some important notices for your attention:

1.  It’s the Last Tuesday of the month next week and Helene Whitaker will be  holding her monthly injury advice/physio clinic at the clubhouse.  At the moment I believe that she has an open diary, so if you need guidance with any injury issue please take advantage of the excellent resource she provides.  Instructions for booking a slot with her are at the following link.

2.  We are looking for volunteers to help staff our Evening League event on 5th May, if you are able to help please get in touch with Tony Essex and/or Sue Moul or put your name on the sign-up sheet on the Clubhouse Notice Board.  Tony and Sue can be contacted on and

3.  Our annual 10K (the Harrogate Town Centre 10K) is now open for entry and potential competitors can choose to enter online via Sports Entry Solutions or a conventional paper entry.  Just a reminder that the race is one of our main fundraisers and proceeds go to pay for all the things you enjoy, such as the clubhouse rental, coaching fees, subsidised entry to the Evening League and all the other 101 things that cost the club money.  It’s in everyone’s interests that we put on a good, well-attended race and for that we need your help to promote it:

If you use Facebook, please “like” and share our Facebook page, also it would be greatly appreciated if you could share the link to our online entry page by whatever method you can think of (Twitter, email, carrier pigeon), and of course there is nothing stopping you printing off a load of entry forms and leaving them scattered around the workplace, in your partner’s sock drawer etc.  I find the subtle approach works best :-)

Also, if you use a particular Race Calendar on the Internet our race isn’t there, please get in touch with whoever hosts it and ask them to add it.  I’m going to stop short of pleading, but YOUR club really needs YOUR support to promote OUR race.

4.  Lastly, thank you to all those of you who have renewed their subscriptions, about 50% of the club membership has done so thus far.  Please – if you haven’t received an email from the automated system it means that we do not hold the correct email address for you, so please get in touch with John Young at or myself at and we will put that right.  Annual subs renewal is a big task for all the club committee and you will help us a great deal by paying promptly.
