Harrogate Harriers Christmas “Do” 2015

You’ve saved the date, so now it’s time to start booking for this years Christmas Do! It will take place at the Crown Hotel on Saturday 12th of December, dinner will be served at 19.30 and the bar will be open from 18.45.

The cost is £32.50 per person to include 3 course meal, a half bottle of wine, tea, coffee and mince pies with a disco to follow.

This year, signing up is even simpler…just go to the Harriers payment facility to make the payment:

Once you get to the checkout you’ll be asked to add your menu choices, dietary requirements and any seating preferences you may have.  For those that are afraid of the the online system, you can still forward your money and choices to me,but your place won’t be confirmed until payment is made.

In addition, we are hoping to put together a slide show to be played throughout the evening, something that showcases our running year and shows how brilliant we all are!  So, if anyone has any photos (good, bad or ugly) that you would like to share please forward to me at

Now to the important bit – the menu:

– Chicken Liver and Almond Pate with Brioche Bread and Tomato Chutney
– Brandy and garlic creamy mushrooms on sourdough bread with salad garnish
– Prawn Marie rose with cucumber and beetroot salsa

– Traditional roast turkey with pigs in blankets, apricot and sage stuffing and crown hotel Turkey gravy
– Roast salmon fillet with seafood carbonara sauce and crushed new potatoes
– Leek, butternut squash and spinach pithivier with a Coverdale sauce

– Dark chocolate torte with cardamon syrup
– All butter lemon tart with chantilly cream and raspberry purée
– Christmas pudding with brandy sauce

We need to get all numbers and food choices confirmed with the hotel by Sunday 22nd November, so this is your deadline!
