As a general rule, the club will either pay the entry fee or subsidise any team entry as long as it is done under the auspices of Harrogate Harriers.

Finally, can I just remind all members that race organisers are increasingly focused on the practice of number-swapping and the club cannot be seen to support or otherwise endorse it. Most race organisers allow number swaps in advance, in this case you are of course free to follow their guidelines. If they do not then the right thing to is to contact them and give them the flexibility to offer your place to the next person on their reserve list. This is a particularly serious matter in the off-road world, if you are missing on a mountain somewhere, the organisers have every right to know exactly who to look for – not somebody you’ve passed your number on to. I know this is a sensitive subject, so your understanding and support is very much appreciated.

Let’s all have a fantastic running year.
