Track Awareness Run Update

January 2, 2017

The Track Awareness Run is going ahead as planned on 2nd January 2017, starting from the World’s End pub opposite Conyngham Hall in Knaresborough.  The first runners will start at 0930 prompt, so be there in good time if you intend to run the first part (or all) of the circuit.

If you are not a Harrogate Harrier member and intend to join us on the run, then of course you very welcome, but please take the time to read the Key Drop-off Points and On-the-Day instructions via the links below.  It’s very important that  you understand that this is NOT a race, nor is it marshalled or provision made for refreshments etc, it’s a club social run that will take place on public access land and you are responsible for your own safety and support.  If you belong to a a Harrogate/Knaresborough club, we’d be grateful if you would wear a club vest to show your affinity.

We have made arrangements with The Mitre pub in Knaresborough (by the station) for a room to be available and you are welcome to join other runners there after your run, the pub has kindly offered to do bacon butties for £3.00 and a bowl of chips for £2.00.  Sorry, no free beer!

Just to clarify an important point – one that has been asked numerous times – and that is you can join the Track Awareness Run at whichever of the 11 Drop-off points you wish, the timings that are given are those that the fastest runners will aspire to, though of course there will be runners passing by for some time after.
