Juniors Cross-Country

Many of our junior athletes enjoy competing in schools XC events and we provide them with opportunity to represent Harriers and compete in a range of competitive local, regional and national events including team relays and individual championships.We compete in the West Yorkshire XC League and the Leeds-based PECO XC League, along with other regional and national championships.

2015-16 West Yorkshire XC League:

Race 1: Sun 2nd Oct at Thornes Park, Wakefield
Race 2: Sun 30th Oct at Nunroyd Park, Yeadon
Race 3: Sun 20th Nov at Spenborough
Race 4: Sun 4th Dec at Keighley

Junior races start between 11:45am and 1:00pm. Further details on West Yorkshire Athletics website

2016-17 PECO XC League:

This informal league is ideal for all to take part in. Junior races are 1 mile for school years 4-6 (10.00am start) and 2 miles for school years 7-11 (10:20 start). Further details on PECO XC website.

Race 1: Sun 27th Nov at Temple Newsam
Race 2: Sun 18th Dec at Middleton Park
Race 3: Sun 22nd Jan at West Park
Race 4: Sun 19th Feb at Barnbow Sports Club
Race 5: Sun 5th Mar at Roundhay Park
Relays: Sun 12th Mar at TBC

Registration is from 9:15 on the day and the entry fee is usually £1 for juniors
