Privacy Statement

Introduction.

We take your right to privacy seriously and want you to feel comfortable using this web site. This Privacy Statement deals with personally identifiable information (also referred to as “data” below) that may be collected by us on this site and associated forum. This statement does not apply to any other entities that we do not own, or control, including any external sites linked to from our site/forum.

1. Collection of Data.

The forum registration process requires only a valid e-mail address, a unique user ID, a password and validation by answering several general knowledge questions. Providing us with any other information is at your option. Please note that all forum accounts must be approved by a nominated forum administrator before access to the non-public forums is allowed.  Please also take note that your user name, e-mail address, or other submissions that you make on the forum may contain your real name or other personally identifiable information and, as a result, may appear on the site/forum.

Mail list registration is a manual process and only requires a valid club membership and e-mail address. E-mail address are NOT SHARED with ANY outside agency. Only club officials have access to be able to generate mailing list e-mails.

Like many web sites, we may also automatically receive general information that is contained in our server log files such as your IP address and cookie information. Information about how advertising may be served on this site (if at all) is set forth below.

2. Use of Data.

We may use Data to customize and improve your user experience on this site. We will make every effort to ensure that your Data is not provided to any third parties unless (i) provided for otherwise in this Privacy Statement; (ii) we obtain your consent, such as when you choose to opt-in or opt-out of a particular request; (iii) a service provided on our site requires the interaction with or is provided by a third party, by way of example an Application Service Provider; (iv) pursuant to legal process or law enforcement; (v) we find that your use of this site violates our this Policy, other usage guidelines or as deemed reasonably necessary by us to protect our legal rights and/or property. In the event you choose to use links that appear on our site to visit other web sites, you are advised to read the privacy policies that appear on those sites.

3. Cookies.

Like many web sites, we set and use cookies to enhance your user experience (such as retaining your personal settings).  Cookies are essential for the operation of the forum. Advertisements that may appear on the web site will not set and/or access cookies on your computer.  and is subject to the privacy policy of those parties providing the advertisement. We DO NOT and WILL NOT utilise any advert syndication services, such as AffiliateShop, AssociatePrograms.com, Be Free, Click Trade, Commission Junction, DoubleClick, Linkshare.  Whilst we do employ some Google services (Google Calendar) we DO NOT employ Google Adwords AT ALL.

4. Photographs.

By providing photographs to the site, either via the forum or associated 3rd party sites (flickr, Facebook, Twitter etc.) you are implicitly agreeing to allow said photographs to be used on this site. However, should any photograph be used, which you wish to be remove, please to contact the webmaster directly to have it replaced. Whilst we would like to use your picture we also wish to respect your wish for privacy. Photos posted on external sites (Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) are posted subject to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policies of the individual services. Please ensure you are fully cognisant such BEFORE posting.

4. Editing or Deleting Your Account Information.

We provide you with the ability to edit the information in your forum user account information that you provided to us in registration by using your personal page configuration area. You may delete you account at any time or request deletion on your behalf by contacting our webmaster. Content or other data that you may have provided to us and that is not contained within your user account, such as posts that may appear within our forums, will continue to remain on our site even though your user account is deleted.

We provide the ability to unsubscribe from the mail list and have your email address deleted from the list, in the footer of each e-mail distributed to the mail list. Alternatively you can email the webmaster to have your address manually removed.

5. Changes to this Privacy Statement.

We may make changes to this statement from time to time. We will notify you of substantial changes to this Policy either by posting a prominent announcement on our site and/or forum or by sending a message to the e-mail address you have provided to us that is contained within your user settings.

6. NO GUARANTEES.

While this Privacy Statement states our standards for maintenance of data and we will make efforts to meet them, we are not in a position to guarantee these standards. There may be factors beyond our control that may result in disclosure of data. As a consequence, we disclaim any warranties or representations relating to maintenance or non-disclosure of data.
