July 6 - A record 72 Harriers took part in the 2008 Summer Evening League series. The final results reveal that we finished 2nd place in every category - main, ladies, ladies vets, male vets, and super vets - except the elite division, where we took third place.

first to cross the finish line for the club was Kevin McNerney

July 3 - EL Race #5, Dragons - A veritable tidal wave of Otley runners - six of the first seven finishers - laid to rest any doubts about which club would win the main competition in the 2007 Summer Evening League race series - congratulations, Otley AC. Matthew Thackwray finished first for the club followed by Ben Grant. Check the league web

June 7 - Thank you to John
and everybody who helped out at Thursday's race, where a league
record 319 runners took part. The winner was Ian Fisher (Otley);
first home for the club was Rickie Wilson. The womens winner
was Lisa Mawer (Wetherby); first female Harrier was Jean Shotter.
In the main competition the club finished first by eleven
points and now trail Otley AC by a slim margin of less than
eight points. We'll need everybody at Wetherby and Guiseley!

Harrogate Harriers participates in the Harrogate
District Summer Road Race League with around a dozen local
clubs. These races, along with the Black Sheep series, are part of the club championship competition.
These midweek evening races are popular and attract a wide
range of ages and ability from all clubs. There is a good
chance to socialise afterwards. Details of the
forthcoming fixtures are listed below. These may change so
