Harrogate Harriers has a strong tradition in Cross-Country and in recent years we have had teams represent the club at both regional and national levels with some success.
In 2016 our Women’s Senior Team finished 2nd in the competitive West Yorkshire League, with Harriers placed 2nd, 3rd and 5th in the individual standings. The Men’s Team was 3rd overall, with two of the top 8 individual runners. But it’s not just about the fast runners; both the West Yorkshire and PECO Leagues are suitable for runners of all standards.
Cross Country running is great fun for everyone. Yes, it can be muddy (and wet too), but the fantastic team spirit and sense of achievement more than make up for that!! It is a great way to build stamina and improve all-round running fitness through Autumn and Winter in preparation for a successful season on or off-road.
Interested in taking part? Please get in touch with our Cross Country representatives, via email on firstname.lastname@example.org.
For the 2017-18 season, as well as competing in both the West Yorkshire and PECO Leagues we will enter teams in the Yorkshire, North of England and National Championships. Details will be updated below when available. Please note: you will need to be UKA affiliated in order to run for the club.
