Breaking down our strapline…

…”Run Together, Compete with Passion, Thrive as Community”

  • Inclusivity is at the core of our club's ethos. It is about creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and included, regardless of their background, ability level, or experience.

    Accessibility for All:

We strive to make running accessible to everyone. This means accommodating different ability levels, offering adaptive running programs, and ensuring our facilities are accessible to all.

    Celebrating Diversity:

Our club is a tapestry of diverse backgrounds, ages, and experiences. We celebrate this diversity, recognising that it strengthens and enriches us.

    Supportive Environment:

Inclusivity means providing a supportive environment. It is about mentorship, encouragement, and ensuring every member knows they have a place and a voice within the club.

  • Fostering Excellence:

Competitiveness is about the spirit of striving for excellence. It is about setting goals, pushing limits, and celebrating achievements.

    Personal Bests:

We encourage each member to compete against their personal bests. It is not just about winning races; it is about self-improvement and reaching new heights.

    Healthy Competition:

Our club fosters a culture of healthy competition. We compete with integrity and sportsmanship, respecting our competitors as we push each other to excel.

    Elite Development:

For those aiming for the top, we provide advanced training and competitive opportunities. We nurture talent, offering a platform for those who aspire to compete at higher levels.

  • Our club is not just about running; it is about making a positive impact. We are increasing our involvement in community events and initiatives. Whether it is charity runs or environmental clean-ups, we aim to be a force for good in our community.

    Holistic Well-being:

We believe in the importance of holistic health. Running is as much about mental well-being as it is about physical fitness. We are planning to expand our resources to include workshops and seminars on mental health, nutrition, and injury prevention, ensuring our members get support in all aspects of their health.

    Diverse and Inclusive Culture:

Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our club. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone, regardless of background, ability, or identity, feels welcomed and valued. Our goal is to be a beacon of inclusivity within the sporting community.

    Enhanced Safety Measures:

Safety is paramount. We are constantly reviewing and enhancing our safety protocols, ensuring all members have a secure environment to train and compete. This includes updated safeguarding policies and regular safety drills and training for staff and volunteers.

    Technological Advancement:

Embracing technology, we are integrating innovative tools and platforms to improve training, communication, and performance analysis. This will provide our members with innovative resources to elevate their running experience.

    Sustainability Initiatives:

As athletes who enjoy the outdoors, we are committed to sustainability. We are implementing eco-friendly practices and encouraging our members to adopt sustainable habits, aiming to minimize our environmental footprint.

    Leadership and Volunteer Opportunities:

We encourage our members to take on leadership roles, whether in coaching, event organization, or club governance. This is a club where leadership and volunteering are not just welcomed - but celebrated.

    Lifelong Learning and Improvement:

Our commitment to improvement is not just about athletic performance. We foster a culture of lifelong learning, encouraging members to engage in educational opportunities, workshops, and seminars that the club and EA offer.

    Celebrating Success and Resilience:

We celebrate every success, every milestone. But we also recognize the power of resilience. We stand together in the face of challenges, turning setbacks into comebacks.

We are more than a running club; we are a community, a family. 'Run Together, Compete with Spirit, Thrive as Community', not just as slogans, but as core values that define us. Join us in this journey of continuous growth and excellence.
