Harrogate Harriers Training - *UPDATE* 6th June 2020
Some of the Harrogate Harriers Junior coaches have started training sessions and the Junior Chair, Chris Forrest wanted to make sure everyone has been made aware of the England Athletics guidelines.
It is important HHJuniors adhere to a max of 1 coach and 5 athletes per training session and social distancing rules, particularly since none of our venues are open yet so we can only use public spaces (please do not use Pannal Football Club). To be clear 2 coaches and 10 athletes will not be permitted.
As a club our athletes and volunteers wellbeing is paramount and we must insist that if a junior athlete attends a session their parent or guardian must be present at all times through the session for now. if you turn up at any session where there is more than 1 coach and 5 athletes present please do not attend.
To attend a session contact the coaches directly when they email to advertise what they are offering.
As lockdown starts to ease, we will update more regularly.
The club is affiliated to England Athletics with qualified coaches and assistant coaches, all of whom are DBS checked.
We are a vibrant club with over 300 members, training most nights across Harrogate. We start at the fundamentals teaching agility, balance and coordination, and games based, going onto specific event skills later. The club compete in cross country, track & field and fell running at local, regional and national events. We also encourage Sport for All. If you are interested in joining Harrogate Harriers juniors please visit the membership page.
